The Enneagram is a self-discovery tool that gives new awareness and language as we continue to grow and evolve.

Hi. I’m Mary Ann.  Happy to meet you. 9 years ago, when I turned 50, I decided that my mantra for the year was going to be Fit and Fabulous at Fifty! That I was ready to live a life of thriving rather than just a life of striving. I was determined that being a half century old was not going to get me down. But instead, I began a journey of self-discovery and self-improvement that has led me to today.

Since I began this journey, I have prayed that God would prepare me today for what He had for me tomorrow.  Hence – Today! Believe me, where I am today, is not anything like what I expected, and it certainly is not what I planned. But God clearly told me that He knew me better than I knew myself (Psalm 139:1) and that He knew what was better for me than I did. So, I said: Okay, Jesus take the wheel!

If you have landed here, you know me already, maybe. I hope you know that I love my family, that I love serving in ministry and that I love shepherding, mentoring and caring for others. Over these last years, I have learned that coaching is a great way to have influence in people’s lives as well as helping them discover who they are and the paths that God has them on.  (It is always a privilege and an honor to be trusted with your struggle and to be part of new growth through coaching).

So, here we are. Part of my journey includes the Enneagram. When I first found it and learned my Type, I wept. I wept because I felt known. I wept because even though I felt exposed, I felt overwhelmingly loved and accepted by the One who created me. Although, there were tears, there was also relief!  I thought – Wow, I am not the only one who thinks, feels and acts this way.

Using the Enneagram as a self-discovery tool has given me new awareness and language as I am continuing to grow and evolve. (Yes, even us old folks are still growing and evolving). My belief is that the more you KNOW, the more you GROW and then the more you can GO! God does not want me to live my life in auto pilot. Scripture clearly teaches that transformation through Christ is a life that flourishes. I want that, don’t you?

I hope you will follow me on my journey of discovery and that you will also find your own pathway of self-discovery. I hope I get to be part of that.

A Bit More About Me:

IMG_6146.jpg

I am a true Texas.  Born and raised in Dallas, Texas.  The hubs and I fell in love and got married when I was barely 20.  That was about 39 years ago!  Since then, we have had two wonderful children who ended up being our closest friends.   Our son now lives in Atlanta with his lovely wife and their two perfect children.  Our daughter and her husband live not far from us in Dallas and we love that we get to see them often.

The first 20 years of marriage, I worked some in the legal field but mostly raised kids.  The last 19 years, I have been in full time ministry at our local church and at a global non-profit ministry. Recently, I took the role of Director of Operations at a local Charter School.  I have worked with teenagers, parents, adult leaders, student leaders, and pastors.  God has given me a front row seat to life transformation in those lives.  Coaching and mentoring has been one of the greatest joys of my life. I have been trusted with intimate details of people’s stories.  Their hurts and heartaches, but also their victories.  It has been an honor to be on this journey with so many.

All in all, our lives have been full of love and laughter, stories and memories.  We have experienced heartache and hard times.  We have had ups and we have had downs.  But we have stayed the course and tried to remember to keep our eyes on Jesus.  No matter what, He has always been faithful.
